IT was like parking in a toilet. The stairwells were disgusting. The smell of urine was nauseating and must be a health hazard. This complaint needs to be addressed urgently. Regular cleaning checks need to be part of the daily routine. Charges are high enough to employ someone to do this.

No lifts which makes buggies hard to use. Spaces are cramped. This is further from the centre than the Churchill. However security seems pretty tight though it is still possible to sneak through the door behind someone else. It uses registration plates so you may not need your ticket to open the barriers.

My sisters brand new car was keyed in the car park over the weekend- only cameras on entrance and exit so not as secure as you might think! :-(

Car was broken into, CCTV is only on the entrance and exit. Beware.

This car park has clearly been revamped and cleaned up a lot since the previous reviews on here from several years back. Security is optimal and you even need your parking ticket to enter by foot now. It's clean and freshly painted.

Although this is in a great position, it cost me £17 to park here for 4 hours which doesn't seem to make sense according to the prices on here. I paid my ticket at the machine, only to find that when I left the car park the 'security' gate was broken and anyone could drive out freely without paying. Very frustrating!

Although very convenient to where we were staying the stench of bodily fluids was nauseating. There was a number of rough sleepers around the car park and seemed to be using various areas as toilets. We stayed for 3 days and when we returned the car was safe and sound. Attempts seemed to have been to clean up as there was the faint smell of disinfectant but not enough to cover the stench unfortunately.

Sun31st july 2011,9:50am, arrived at car park, very conveniently placed.HORRIBLE STENCH on exiting car, vagrants asleep between parked vehicles, stairwells to street smelled of stale urine,on return to car the smell of human excrement was unbearable, yes it was behind and along side mine and another car x3 pools/piles of it.As we were leaving cars wanted to get in our space i advised of the situation, they all said they wondered what the smell was when they came in.£9:50 to park in a toilet, lets see what BHDC does with my complaint.

this is a good car park if you approach brighton from the hove end and dont want to sit in traffic trying to park closer into town. it is about a 15 min walk minimum from where all the action is, but I have managed to park here most weekends. it is very confusing getting out of, you have to drive "down" before getting out. its reasonably priced at £12.50 for the day, and doesnt feel too scary for a female to be there on your own. but it is a walk away from the action.
