Please do something about the extremely rude and threatening employee with the last name Jackson. His first name starts with a D. My wife has a monthly contract here. This employee ignored her when he walked into the booth after waiting for 5 minutes to be acknowledged and watching the other employees look for the keys that were hanging up front I asked him if he could get our car please and he proceeded to scream at me that I was disrespectful and not to do that he just sat down and didn’t know it was my car and not to come at him like that because I was disrespecting him. Respect is earned and he treats people poorly. All I did was ask for my vehicle to be retrieved. This is not the first incident I’ve had with this employee. It must be nice for him to have a job he’s so secure in he feels he can be rude and threatening with no consequences.

Parking in New Orleans

Roughly two categories of people can face parking problems in New Orleans – tourists who are new to the city and residents who have trouble interpreting confusing parking signs. Our New Orleans parking page is meant to answer all your parking questions, whether its about lots, garages or on-street parking.

Parking is anything but cheap in New Orleans. Hourly rates are between $5 and $12, with an average 24 hour rate of $21.00. You can save a bit by parking before 9 am (early bird rate) however you won’t be able to leave earlier than the preset hour (usually about 3 pm). Also, you cannot stay longer than 6 pm. Monthly rates are around $145.00.

On street parking is enforced from Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm. Short term meters allow 2 hours of maximum stay for $1.50 per hour. Long-term meters allow a maximum stay of up to 10 hours for $1.00 each hour. Be careful to check for prohibited parking in designated rush hour zones from 7 am - 9 am and 4 pm - 6 pm.

On-street parking can be paid by coins, credit and debit cards and using the Parkmobile app.
