Parking in Lincoln

There are lots of parking facilities in Lincoln and over 2,400 parking meters, which makes parking easy to find. It only becomes difficult to park during rush hour and on Saturdays when football games are taking place.

All downtown parking locations and on-street meters are managed by Park&Go.  Off-street facilities usually charge around $1.80 per hour and $13.00 for the whole day. The first hour at Park&Go garages are free. Most of the garages also offer long-term parking, starting at $50, going up to $90 with a reserved space included.   

Some local businesses can offer you validation for cheaper or even free limited parking.

On-street parking in Lincoln is enforced Monday through Saturday 8:00am to 6:00pm. An hour of parking costs $1.00. All meters are color coded. The color stands for the maximum time allowed for stay:

  • White = 10 Minutes
  • Red = 30 Minutes
  • Yellow = 60 Minutes
  • Orange = 90 Minutes
  • Green = 2 Hours
  • Brown = 5 Hours
  • Blue = 10 Hours

On-street parking is free on Monday through Saturday 6pm to 8am, on Sunday and on national holidays. Parking can be paid with coins, Visa, MasterCard or using the PassportParking Mobile Pay.
