Parking In Essex, MA

There is a very sizable town parking lot that is FREE behind the post office.

To access the parking lot go down Shepard Memorial Drive (a small roadway) which is just off Martin Street (Rt.22) between Town Hall and the Fire/Police Department building.

You may walk up to street level three different ways. By back tracking to Shepard Memorial Drive;

by way of sidewalk behind the apartment and behind the post office or by way of stairway leading

up to the parking lot of The Village Restaurant.

The stairway is not maintained in winter time and closed off for use.

You may also park at the post office on most days when they are closed. The police let people do this without a problem.  See the Town government website for more information about parking at www.essexma.org
