Paid Just Park £4 to park whilst at work, ticket confirmation said 8am to 17.30 at 14.38 a ticket was issued. Just park didn't care, just said appeal it. Now I have the bother of fighting it. No idea what I'm missing so just be careful or shop at Tesco!

I think only the covered car park belongs to Asda (it has green Asda type arrows and signs). You can book it through Just Park app if you want to stay over the shopping time allowance. I'm really hoping that it worked and I dont get a penalty charge. Another thing to bear in mind is that Google maps is out of date for the junction coming off the flyover. All in all I'd avoid this car park you don't need the stress.

Stayed at Travelodge (no notice on website to advise car park operated by SMART PARKING (read all about the practices of this company on line)- went into Travelodge - as instructed by receptionist, entered car reg on to tablet - Receptionist advised given THREE NIGHTS FREE PARKING for stay - THREE weeks later received THREE PARKING CHARGE NOTICES from Smart Parking advising car was parked without permission - appealed to Smart Parking giving details of our booking at Travelodge - Smart Parking completely ignored - this company is a law unto itself aiming solely to maximise profits from members of the public - Travelodge equally not prepared to challenge the company - upholding the parking Charge Notices - Payment of £300 demanded by Smart parking or threat to send debt collectors in - ADVICE - AVOID, AVOID this car park - report its owners practices to the Council, local M.P.s etc - TWO Very angry and distressed O.A.P.s

Took 1st left and parked a few spaces down on the right! Few days later got a fine from smart parking! If I walked in a straight line would have walked into the side of asda! How can this be parking for Travel lodge????

Entered car park, immediately turned left and parked by Asda backdoor. A few days later received a PCN from Smart who actually look after Travelodge car park NOT Asda. So I managed to park in a hotel car park by accident! How is this possible when I parked right next to Asda back door. Definitely not obvious signs because I did it twice and numerous others have done the same below. Why not have a clear divide or barrier for hotel parking? Laughable. Travelodge and Asda both to blame.

Shop at ASDA and receive a fine...… This must be a blanket scam, as many people will pay the fine - something needs to be done about ripping off holiday makers!!

No signage on entrance to the car park, took the first left and headed straight down to the end, managed to park up as the car engine was playing up (Need a new engine now) expensive holiday, went into asda to do the holiday food shop through the back door, never passed any payment machines and nothing on the door highlighting the fact. Received the fine had to google where is was as I was not sure of any wrong doings, googled the car park and did see 2 small signs but was so concerned by my car I never spotted them. Have never paid to use an Asda car park before so never even crossed my mind, they have lost a customer. Unfortunatly we parked in the same spot a few days later to pick up some more supplies, awaites another fine, bought p d tickets for all other car parks used in poole. hmmmpf

Busy day, busy life, like everyone else blindly assumed parking in ‘apparent’ Asda car park and shopping there, would not involve a Krypton Factor style exercise in looking for signs, etc. Bloody annoyed that this seems to be a daily occurrence!! Now off to pay £45

Went to a lovely restaurant and shopped at asda at 6.30 a sat evening was visiting Poole for first time in Feb. Had flown from Edin for daughters training day in Poole. Just received Bill for £42 from car hire company for parking fine at this car park. Saw no signs that the charges applied till 10pm! Mad, the restaurant and asda will not see us next time. Horrific.

Like all reviews there is still no clear charging direction. Asda need to take responsibility and sort this out

All you can ask is for signs to be clear and well marked..they obviously arent due to the amount of casualties leaving angry reviews..so bloody annoyed chucking money away to crooks that run carparks..

Same as everyone else really saw no signs for parking apart from one at the front of the store saying not to park in other companies car parks. We ate at the cafe and did some shopping while passing through Poole. The parking companies should be made to put large signs at the enterance to the carpark that customers can actually see! I have no problem paying for parking but 45.00 for an hour and ten minutes is daylight robbery !

Thieves.... totally unsignposted. Stayed for a short shop 45mins travelling from Dorchester and parking in the evening. Not being a local to area unaware of the parking restriction.

I can't tell you how angry I am. I would expect this kind of stratagem to happen in some corrupt uncivilised country, not 2017 Britain, completely shameful. So in the end I lost £45, ASDA lost a customer (obviously I'm never setting foot there again), and this company and it's shareholders laugh all the way to the bank. ASDA really should do more in warning people about this.

Got caught like all the others with 45 fine, thought I was in in ASDA but obviously not.... !

I was visiting Poole for the first time, parked and shopped at Asda Lifeboat Quay on 29 Sept the machines were covered in thick plastic . No way of paying but this scurrilous company Smart Park are charging £45 for this deception. Went away for a lovely few days for my 60th birthday,stayed at the premier inn, we made two stops for shopping in Asda car park have just received one £45 fine am just waiting for the other one ..... not impressed,as I never even noticed any pay and display signs I think Asda should make more signs to be aware

We were on our way on. Weekend break and we decided to stop at asda to pick up some items so we parked in what we assumed was asda car park only to get a ticket a few days later in the post. When I called asda they explained to me that we had parked in the wrong car park and that they could not do anything about it . So I am not sure If there are other avenues to fight this bogus company !

Just received a PCN. I parked on the 9th shopped in Asda and the fish and chip shop. Today I received a lovely letter stating I have 14 days from that day to pay up. Not a great appeals process if you ask me. Lucky I wasn't still away

We have just received a £45 parjing ticket for parking outside costa. I asked in costa if we could use this car park and they said we could as long as we put our registration number into the computer on the counter, we did this but have still got a fine! I am hoping to argue my corner later today!

I agree. I would advise everyone to send their parking fine and experience to Watchdog so they can investigate as Asda do not seem to be interested in what is going on.

I have had the same problem. I will be making Watchdog aware as too many people are being harassed by this company.

Like other people I have had the same problem. I went to Asda in April and was there less than an hour to do a food shop.All of the machines were closed down in the car park and said free parking.Received a letter a week later saying I owe this company £50. Now up to £160 and rising.Bunch of crooks - I would not recommend shopping in Asda - it is not worth the risk.

Like the previous reviewer, I recently parked in this car park and received a ticket for £45 today in the post from Smart Parking Limited. I rang Asda to see what was going on and apparently I parked in the car park belonging to the hotel next door .... even though there was nothing in between to differentiate the car parks, and I assumed incorrectly that it was part of Asda's car park. He said there are signs up so I guess it was my fault and will have to pay up. Posting this to warn other people not to park on the left of the car park. Go on the right or immediately in front of the store. The guy I spoke to at Asda said this happens quite a lot but they can't do anything about it. An expensive lesson learnt! :-(

Incredible how I received a penalty for missing car park payment when the machines are covered with notes saying "free parking"! Totally unlawful!

I'm leaving this review so no one else has to deal with the grief parked at this Asda doing weekly shop note on carpark saying free car park obviously machine was out of use to then have a penalty charge a week later for a large amount I've now appealed and I'm shocked that they would even send me one when there was no way on day of paying for ticket beware
