Very misleading. The signs imply you pay up to 6pm. However at the end of the signage it then shows there is an evening charge after 6pm. When unfamiliar with the car park this is easy to miss. This resulted in a hefty parking fine when I would have been happy paying £2 for the evening.

The signage for parking costs are deliberately misleading to fine as many people as possible, it clearly states parking charges until 6pm implying it’s free awards, however at the bottom of the page there is another statement stating charges after 6pm, this is clearly misleading and is there to catch people out, I am sure the council would not allow a business to mislead in this way but feels it can!

Be careful, the machines are misleading. You need to pay after 6 pm even though it states 8.00am to 18.00 on the machine. You do still have to pay another £2 to park between 18.00 and 00.00 but it doesn’t state that until you get to the bottom of the sign. I read the 8.00 to 18.00 and presumed it was free after 18.00 so bought a ticket at 17.50 to cover me till 6pm but I got a parking ticket anyway as I hadn’t paid the £2 for the evening charge.
