Disgusting head office. the machine was faulty when I went to Pay so tried a few times. Each time I received a void transaction receipt. Only to find the next morning all transactions ha s gone through completely but emptying my account and leaving me and mum 4yr old stranded with no money for the 400mile trip home. Received no real help. WAs told by the manager it's my fault for putting my pin into the machine so many times. Currently stuck with no money miles from home with a toddler?!? No sympathy no to even a partial refund ?!? Taking this to a solicitor if I ever get home

the car park is dirty and dark. there was a homeless sleeping in the middle of the cars and many broken glass around. i parked here 07/08/2016 and it is by far the worse experience i have ever had

Can't rate the helpfulness of the security guards high enough. I'd forgotten my purse, and they were so helpful, took my car reg, and I have til Friday to pay the car park ticket. I live in Lancaster, so would have been a nightmare to get someone to bring my purse!

There are over 1500 on-street parking spaces in the city centre which operate on a 'pay and display' basis. The charge hours are 8am - 6pm, seven days a week, and the fees are as follows:

Inner zone
Up to ½ hour: £1.00
Up to 1 hour: £2.00
Up to 1½ hours: £3.00
Up to 2 hours: £4.00

Outer zones
Up to ½ hour: 70p
Up to 1 hour:  £1.40
Up to 1½ hours: £2.10
Up to 2 hours: £2.80

The City Council also operates a number of 'pay and display' off-street car parks that have charges payable seven days a week. Finally, large car park operators such as NCP and Q-Park also manage a number of car parks across the city centre.
