I can only warn all holidaymakers and tourists about this garage at Lidl. Don't think you can stand comfortably and carefree in this parking garage, quickly buy something at Lidl (because you also shop at Lidl at home), commute through Dublin, spend a lot on entrance fees, food and bus tours, enjoy the evening sun in the garden of a Dublin pub with a mega-friendly closing in front of the closed doors of the parking garage. The car park closes at 7 pm and no longer lets you into the car park with your ticket, as is usual with other car parks. You really do stand in front of closed doors and at the exit gate or entrance door there is a sign saying that you can call a Securitas company and buy your vehicle for 80 euros. Of course, after the call, the friendly security guard doesn't come to the car park immediately, but in half an hour or more. In a free parking garage I would understand this procedure. Dear tourist, the 80 euros is not enough! Of course you have to pay extra for the parking time.

DO NOT PARK HERE. They rip people off. They conned my pensioner parents by locking the carpark early, leaving my parents to wait a full hour for a call out, then they had to pay €80 cash to release their car. To add insult to injury, they were also charged €17.70 car parking fees, when they advertise that you won't pay more than €14.20 per day. When I complained, they tried to fob me off with free parking.... what an insult, my parents should have been refunded. Now they won't answer my emails. DISGRACEFUL!! No customer service. Shame on you.

I arrived back at the car park at 7.10 pm to find it locked and had to pay an 80 euro "emergency" callout charge, in cash, to retrieve my car. This is simply a scam.I am therefore sending this letter to the Dublin Members of Oireachtas (Parliament), to the Dublin Members of the European Parliament, to the Dublin City Councillors for the South West Inner City (of Dublin), to Tourism Ireland, to the Visit Dublin Centre, and to the Dublin newspapers Dublin People and Dublin Gazette. Please feel free to copy and paste this letter, to similarly send to these people in authority, whenever you have been similarly caught out and scammed by this car park. That is the only way that a change will be effected.>>>>>Dear Sir / MadamRe: Thomas Street Car Park, Oliver Bond Street, The Liberties, Dublin, Republic of IrelandI am writing to make a formal complaint about the Thomas Street Car Park in Dublin.I chose to use this car park on 16th August 2019 in view of its proximity to the Guinness Storehouse and the Dublin Bus City
