Recently used the World Square car park on a Saturday evening. Checked the website before I left for the advertised drive up rate which appeared to be $15 for up to two hours. When I paid, the rate charged was $29. This was not apparent anywhere on the Secure Parking website and was double the cost. Having spent nearly twenty minutes finding a space then waiting for a lift, the extra 2 minutes of parking doubled the expected cost. The Friday and Saturday surge price was poorly advertised and not at all shown on the website, only on the parking ticket machine on the way out.

The location is very convenient and right under world square building. Pedestrian access to the building is by the shopping centre. So more secure.

Everything about parking here is a disgrace, shocking and a total ripoff. Followed the public parking sign and what do I see, is a whole bunch of idiots with witches hats laid blocking public from parking. Because they're washing cars trying to make a buck? - get council permission idiots. Not only that, it's very narrow going around corners and your car might get damaged. And the total cost? $60 for 3hrs it cost me. That is putrid. What I rate this place is... zilch (00000000) all zero's

A great deal of information regarding on-street parking in Sydney is available here.

Loading Zones

Many parking spots within the CBD act as loading zones throughout working hours. Some cars used by people in these loading zones are just regular consumer vehicles so it's very easy to see other cars parked somewhere and misread signs, resulting in a loading zone infringement ticket.

Tow Away Zones

Vehicles illegally parked within this area of the CBD are much more likely to be towed away (compared to receiving a parking infringement fine).

Recent Changes

To keep the city centre moving during changes to the bus network from Sunday 4 October 2015 and light rail construction, Roads and Maritime Services and Transport for NSW have introduced several changes to parking restrictions and tow-away zones. More information regarding this can be found here.
