This is the worst parking garage I've ever used in NYC. They damaged my car and refused to do anything about it / pay for anything. Additionally, they refused to check the video surveillance after they damaged my car costing me over $2 thousand for their negligence. The individual working there knew what he was doing and delayed getting the car to rush us out, which was followed by the parking management company stating once the car leaves the parking lot - it is not their fault and refused to provide or acknowledge the video surveillance. Park anywhere else, but 13 Gold Street, which is owned by Park Pro Systems.

Parking in Jersey City

There are many parking lots, garages and on-street parking spots in Jersey City, but finding one can be tough.

On-street parkingsigns in Jersey City can be difficult to interpret. To park on the majority of streets for more than 2 hours you’ll need to have a parking permit. For residents of Jersey City this is very convenient, as permits are cheap ($15 per year) and can be bought at the Jersey City Parking Authority. However, non-residents risk a citation if they park for more than a couple of hours in these zones.

Commercial lots and garages charge an average hourly rate of $8.40 and an average rate of $28.00 for 24 hours. Long-term parking varies from $165 to $225 per month.

Take a look at the parking maps for specific districts in Jersey City to find out even more detailed information.

If you don’t want to try your luck at finding parking downtown, you can park at one of the PATH stations and take public transport into the city. This will not only save you from having to find a parking space, but it will also save you some money, as parking at PATH stations is much cheaper than in downtown.

Parking tickets issued in Jersey City can be paid at NJMCdirect.
