The LAZ Garages are poorly attended and too expensive. There are plenty of superior options throughout the city, especially Downtown. Park here at your own risk. The lot between the Capital Plaza lot and the 4th and Capital lot, owned by another company, is less expensive. There are also actually people monitoring the lot to prevent break-ins, unlike the LAZ lots. The prices charged by LAZ are high. My fiancee, for example, paid a recurring monthly rate, yet managed to be ticketed 25 times by LAZ before they straightened it out. Parking in Columbus

Columbus is the fifteenth largest city in the US and like in any other big city, finding a parking spot can be a headache.

The most searched for parking locations in Columbus are the Columbus Convention Center, Port Columbus Airport and the Nationwide Arena. If you didn’t find your destination among these, use the search box to find parking around your destination address.

Parking at a lot or in a garage in downtown Columbus will typically cost you $10-$20 on a weekday or $5-$10 on a weekend.

On-street parking costs range from $0.40 to $1 per hour depending on the area and the maximum stay is restricted to just a few hours in downtown and up to 12 hours on the outskirts of the city. Parking meters accept coins, credit cards as well as a parking meter card that you can buy at several locations in Columbus.

Here are some do’s and don’ts to follow when parking in Columbus:

  • Read the signs when parking in residential areas, as some allow parking for permit holders only.
  • During football games stay away from the streets near stadiums, as they get packed.
  • Find information on parking tickets and how to contest them.
