Paid for parking. The charge showed up on my credit card. Left the lot. Short time later, the charge was refunded to my credit card. Went back to the lot and the car was gone. Went to the tow lot to retrieve the car and waited in a LONG line of similar unfortunate people waiting to pay $230 to get their car back. They obviously have a money making scam going on here.

This is a fraud ring! An absolute sham who prays on people who pay for parking, snags up their cars and forces them to pay to get it out. The local police know about it but do nothing about it, even though the law says otherwise. The city is suing them currently, but they allow them to continue w/ a license. It stinks to me! If anyone has had this happen to them, contact us at cat.parker@formerfedsgroup.org.

My daughter and her family came in from Kansas City to see the Alamo. She paid per the instructions in her car was still towed. They said that toad the car because it had Missouri tags. It did have Missouri tags but they were not expired. It's a shame to have people come to something you proud of and have it ruined by a predatory towing company. Beware of this parking area!!!

Paid and was charged for parking, then refunded. Car was towed for non-payment. This lot is a scam, do not park here.

We stopped in SA on our way back home from southern Mexico. We were hoping to grab some grub and a hotel afterward. My husband noticed a man sitting in the shade just watching us but I am pregnant traveling with a toddler and 5 year old so our priority was to find a restroom quickly. 40 mins later I was finally able to pay for parking but when we arrived 2 hours later our car had been towed. Uber driver and local guy who worked at hotel next to the lot weren’t surprised as apparently towing in the parking lot is common. Save yourself a trip to the impound and $221 and park somewhere else. A parking garage is a better option. We do believe the man watching us was the tow truck guy, they probably just sit and wait for people to leave before quickly checking if you paid and if you have delayed your payment for any reason, best believe you’re getting towed.

ZERO STARS. We stopped here to take some quick pictures of the Alamo after a funeral, but the app apparently wasn't working correctly and the kiosk was out of order. We thought we'd paid but when we arrived back at the lot 45 minutes later our rental car had been towed!! It was an astonishingly frustrating experience, especially for our young son. Our Uber driver wasn't surprised, though, and we ran into another couple at the tow lot whose car was towed at the same time for the same reason. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I wish I could give no stars! I paid, thought everything was good, then got a text more than a FULL HOUR later, asking for the lot code. I entered it, but they had already had my car towed!!! So I don't recommend this lot unless you think $250+ is a good deal for parking!

DO NOT PARK HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.... I AM IN A WHEELCHAIR AND I HAD MY SERVICE DOG WITH ME AND MY CAR WAS TOWED!! WHAT KIND OF PERSON TOWS A CAR WITH A HANDICAPPED PLACARD? I HAD TO TAKE AN UBER WITH MY CHAIR AND MY DOG TO THE TOW LOT AND PAY $227. WAS THE EXTRA FEW DOLLARS IN REVENUE REALLY WORTH TOWING A DISABLED PERSON'S CAR? BEWARE! THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED! PARK ELSEWHERE.. APPARENTLY THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE AS PER THE UBER DRIVER

Parking In San Antonio

San Antonio is a huge city with lots of on-street and off-street parking. We’d like to help you get a better idea of where to park and how much it might cost you.

There are over 2000 parking meters, most of which are enforced 8AM-6PM, Mon-Sat. Parking is free outside these hours. There are, however, 60 event only meters at the Alamodome, so be careful not to park there by accident, or otherwise you might get fined or have your car towed.

On-street parking in downtown San Antonio is rather expensive and can be as high as $3.00/hour, so take this bit of information into consideration. Regular meters accept coins, while more modern meters accept cards as well.

When visiting downtown San Antonio, parking in a lot or a garage might be the preferable option, because you can park for an extended period of time at a reasonably low price.

The average rate for off-street parking is around $5.50/hour and $16.00/ 24 hours. The average cost of a monthly permit is approximately $80.00.

If you prefer to travel by bike, then you’ll be happy to know that San Antonio is a very bicycle-friendly city, so there’s plenty of parking for them as well. You can check out the city’s map to find locations where you can park you bike.

If you’re looking for a specific destination or area, e.g., the San Antonio Convention Center or the San Antonio Riverwalk, you can check out our parking maps to obtain information on prices, working hours and other relevant details for your chosen location.
