I thought the city wanted to cut down on pollution and traffic so they encouraged ppl to share the ride/metro green line which means you pay to ride the green line and park for free. Now I also have to pay to park. Plus the majority of people who park there are workers. Meaning we will only be there 9 to 10 hours not a full 24hrs. We get charged 3 dollars instead of 1 dollar and now almost double are monthly commute bill. This is so messed up and unfair.

As a commuter on the LA Commuter Express 438, I have experienced lack of parking spaces available to commuters on the bus and train. Instead, I have observed LAX employees using these spaces to catch airport shuttles. Is there not parking at the airport for their employees, already? In addition, these lots are unattended at peak hours. I have observed LAX employees drinking, smoking with loud music likened to tailgating parties at college pep rallies. My concern for the consumers, patrons of the Metro system and neighbors has left me less reluctant to use the system which was intended to relieve the freeways of burdening use. There must be an alternative means of identifying who can park in this lot or provide additional spaces for daily commuter users.

Parking at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

LAX is the busiest airport in the Greater Los Angeles Area, but numerous lots and garages located at the terminals and in the vicinity satisfy the daily demand for parking.

There are nearly 8,000 spaces across 8 parking structures at LAX. They charge $3.00 for the first hour of parking and $2.00 for every 30 additional minutes, up to $30.00 for 24 hrs. Another 7,300 spaces are available at Lot C at $4.00 per hour and $12.00 per 24 hours. Lot C is served by a free shuttle which stops at each terminal.

Free parking is available at the Cell Phone Waiting Lot located next to the SW corner of Economy Lot C. Note that vehicles parked in the Cell Phone Lot must be attended at all times!

Motorcycles can park for free if they're not taking up a space meant for a car. Motorcycles should be parked at the end of rows or in corners where they wouldn't block access to parked vehicles, elevators, driveways etc. Also, don't take a ticket at the entrance gate if you're driving a motorcycle.

EV chargers are located at parking structure P1 and P6 and in the Economy Lot C.

If you are ready to exchange the comfort of parking in the structure next to your terminal for a cheaper lot located a5-7 minutes shuttle drive away take a look at the furthest lots on our map. These lots provide parking that range from $10 to $25 per 24 hours and also offer a free shuttle. Many of them also have valets to park the car for you.
