I was charged and oversize fee for my Chevrolet Equinox. I have never been charged this before. The attendant was rude. I had to pay and extra $45.00.

They made me pay for the month in cash then did not honor the agreement. I don't believe it is the attendant's fault but their supervisor Esteban who was incredibly rude. If anyone can provide more information on management please let me know as I plan to file an official complaint.

The car will be safe and secure. I will not be renewing my pass because the parking attendants are the biggest jerks. I'm always nice and follow rules, however they have very strict rules on how to get access to your own car, not one of the guys ever tells you the same story so you consistently get berated over something. They are a bit over the top in asking that you tell them exactly when you want your car again and if you change plans, be prepared for them to yell at you saying you can't get your car before 5p. It's complete insanity. I get that they stack the cars a certain way but yelling on the phone and hanging up is out of control. Oh, and when I did come after 5 to pick it up after he yelled at me, he STARTED moving cars when I got there and I had to wait 30 more minutes to drive my own car.

Parking in New York

New York is one of the busiest and most densely populated cities in the US. Parking rates in NYC are one of the highest in the country. Here are some ideas on how to survive when looking for a place to park in New York.

Commercial garages in Manhattan charge $12-$18 per hour and can go up as high as $55 per 24 hours (SUVs and oversized vehicles are charged additional fees). It’s a good idea to look for early bird and overnight specials or coupons for discounted parking!

A good alternative is to park in the suburbs and then take public transport to downtown:

On-street parking

On-street parking in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island is $1 per hour, while on-street meters in Manhattan charge from $1.50 to $6 per hour, depending on the area. Meters take quarters and credit cards.

On-street rates in PARK-Smart areas will vary depending on the time of day and demand.

On-street signage can be confusing. Check the NYC parking regulations, so that you don’t get a pricey ticket.
