Parking in Garland

The most comfortable way of getting around Garland is driving a car and even parking is not a big concern in Garland. However, since November 2013 Garland has been under some redevelopment, which influences parking in the city. So, if you’re new to Garland, we recommend taking a look at our list of tips below:

  • On-street parkingis limited to three hour stays only. Check out the City of Garland webpage for a detailed list of available on-street parking.
  • Closed parking locations: Please note that City Hall parking on the northeast corner of Fifth and State streets and parking at 203 Fifth Street is closed.
  • All closed locations will be reopened in mid 2015. New on-street spaces will also open.

If you’re considering driving downtown or taking public transit, know that there are numerous Park and Ride locations around Garland, the closest being Downtown Garland Station, Forest/Jupiter Station, South Garland Transit Center. All of them offer free parking, provided you take public transport afterwards.
