Realized that my dentist did not validate parking here so I exited to re-park. Parking stub wouldn’t scan so I called the attendant. I asked about a grace period - nope! $11 for ~10 minutes. She then scolded me when I reported the time stamp and it was a couple minutes more than what I initially reported. Happy Thanksgiving!

Not safe and very dirty. Expensive? Yes. No security. Bring mace or another self defense weapon if you park here!

Agree that this is a scam for hourly parking. Paid $36 for parking from 7:20 AM to just before 9 AM. Called and they said that the early bird rate applied only if you leave after 1 PM (which isn't well signed at all). 40 cents every minute. Avoid!

Parked overnight from 6pm til 8am, charge came to $72. And their system wouldn't even print a receipt!

The 517 Marquette Parking Ramp is a total ripoff! I parked there on Sunday, 5 pm, a sandwich board sign outside said it was $10 all day Sunday. So I pick up my car at 1 pm on Monday and got nicked for $40 -- I called to complain and was told I was charged $40 b/c I had to have left the ramp by 7 am to have gotten the $10/sunday rate. This is bullsh*t, the sign did not say this, and I have parked in other ramps in Minneapolis and have not had that happen to me. DO NOT PARK AT 517 MARQUETTE!

Unbelievable rip-off! Tight doors and incredibly tight corners to exit, dark, poor signage - you get the message. Then the real insult - I came in at 10:25AM, and exited approximately one hour later. Can you believe $21!!! Hard to use, poorly-signed, credit-card-only pay gates to top this off nicely ...

When I was carpooling to this ramp for $105/mo, it was great. Mostly because I wasn't actually carpooling. Once they were allowed to not offer a carpool contract anymore and the price went to $265 I started parking at the ABC ramps. Pro tip, if you're leaving your car there for multiple days, you will be charged $26/day. Just hit the "lost ticket" button. Also, the ramp is almost always unmanned, so using the front area as a turnaround or 5-10 minute parking is great. I have one weird story about this place. Once I showed up pretty late, like 9AM, and the ramp was not marked as 'full'. Turns out it was. On my way up the ramp, one of the maintenance guys flagged me down and told me to park in a handicapped space if I can't find a normal space. Fortunately there was one last spot on the roof, but holy crap is that legal for them to do? I suppose a tow truck can't get inside.

no parking spots but let people in. finally someone left and we got a spot. $28 cash or credit, machine wouldn't take cash. 3 cars ahead of us couldn't get out, we waited 10 minutes for the machine to work. No one on site. Bad experience.

Complete rip off...charged me $28 after coming in for the 14 early bird special. I left at 7:34 and apparently I was required to leave by 7, which is not stated anywhere. The owners should be charged with a crime.

The early bird rate for this ramp is now $13 if you are in by 9:30 and out by 7pm. Leaving any later than 7pm will double your rate to $26.00 [that's right $26 USD]. Unfortunately this information is not displayed on the exterior advertising sign so there's no way of knowing until you are at the exit pay station in the ramp. THE OWNERS OF THIS RAMP SHOULD BE MORE TRANSPARENT ABOUT ACTUAL COST TO PARK HERE.

They have an "early bird" park rate of $11. If you leave even 1 minute after their 7 pm deadline, the rate shoots to a whopping $25. What a ripoff. I would never park at 517 Marquette Ave Ramp ever again. I totally agree with the other review. Horrible layout. Just awful all around.

A dreadful, over priced garage. I paid $18.00 for one hour and 4 minutes. If you have an SUV or large sedan you can hardly make the turn to exit on each floor. A complete rip off, and a terrible layout.

Parking in Minneapolis

Minneapolis is a global economical hub and one of the largest cities in the area. Here are some useful tips to help you find the best parking location.

In Minneapolis parking meters are abundant. There are around 7000 meters in total;  so parking in Downtown Minneapolis shouldn’t be a major problem. The city is divided into several on-street zones with varying rates and time limits. The maximum stay limit can vary from 2 to 10 hours. The rate for parking at meters can range from $0.25-$2.75/1 hour. Single-space meters accept coins and bills. There are more advanced singles-space meters that also accept credit cards (Mastercard, American Express, Visa).

Multi-space meters accept coins, bills and cards. When parking at one of these meters, introduce the number of the space you’ve parked at and take your receipt with you.

During events on-street rates can range from $1.50 to $4.00/1 hour.

Meters are not enforced during national holidays.

Off-street rates are around $4-$5/1 hour and $18/24 hours. The average monthly parking price is in the range of $150.

You can click on a marker, e.g. the Convention Center (Central Lutheran Ramp) or the Gateway Ramp, and it will show you all the basic information on that location, such as price, opening hours, etc.

For any questions about ticket payment options, make sure to visit the city’s website.
