I didn't have time to register my car, as my cat has peed all over me on the way to the vet. I arrived at 11am, immediately went into the vet, and 6 minutes later, when I came out to register it, I had a ticket. I didn't even get the OPPORTUNITY to register it. When I called and asked for the appeals process, they said there was no appeals process. They are trying to get $95 out of me for 6 minutes. I had to pay near 3k for my car, and when I explained this to the attendant, he just shrugged. Completely lack of assistance. So I called, and when I told them I couldn't pay, they offered to reduce the charge by $20. I have NEGATIVE MONEY. I asked if an exception could be made, and she said no. I asked what she would have done had she been covered in cat pee and had to choose between the vet and registering the car. She had no answer. Absolutely despicable that they have a 0 tolorence, 0 exceptions policy. They only care about money. Well jokes on them cos I have no money and my credit is already trashed.

Despite paying the parking fee, I just received a notice that I had not. It also states there was a notice on my car. There was not. The code on the statement letter says the reason was Restricted Lot or Parking Area but I was in the QFC parking. Feels like a scam but there is no recourse.

Parking In Seattle

Seattle is the birthplace of Nirvana, Bill Gates and Jimi Hendrix. It’s the city that never sleeps and always offers its visitors something interesting to check out. But what about finding a parking spot in Seattle? Here are some useful tips that’ll help you out.

There is plenty of on-street parking in the city. The rates are from $1 to $4 per hour, and are enforced Mon-Sat, 8AM-6PM or, depending on the particular location, 8AM-8PM. The time limit is 2, 4 or 10 hours. Coins and debit/credit cards are accepted.

A pay-by-phone option is available at all on-street locations. It allows you to pay for parking from your cell phone, saving you the necessity of finding a pay station and getting a receipt. Visit the city’s official website to learn more about this feature.

The average rates for off-street parking are $7-11 per hour and $15-30 per 24 hours.

Monthly parking in Downtown Seattle is usually quite expensive, ranging from $200 to $350.

If you’re looking for a specific place, such as the Seattle Aquarium (Pike Place Market Garage), the Seattle Center or Pacific Place, Seattle’s parking map on our website will provide you with information on all these locations and many others.
