Spaces are close. Parked and when I got back, car next to me left his wheels turned so I couldn't get my door open very far. Good thing I'm not too heavy. When people park sloppy, they should have to pay extra.

Every other car is taking two spots. It’s a nightmare to park in this garage.

Was over charged, called the office and Letticia corrected the over charge. She was profesional and kind.

I paid at the kiosk on the 2nd floor, on the way out, and went to my car. There, I made a few phone calls, by the time I left, a half hour had passed. When I got to the automated exit, I inserted my ticket as requested, but it wouldn't let me leave unless I paid the full (undiscounted) price of 30$ !! So, I did, just to get out. When I got home, I called the garage and talked to fellow named Terrance, who explained tp me that if I had called before I left the garage, or stopped in to the office, He would have corrected the problem so I could leave without paying more. Since I had left, he said, I would have to call back the next day (3 - 11, his shift, he offered) and then the errant 30$ would be refunded to my card. Which I did, and which he did! So, I see the complaints above, but Terrance did me right! Good job you all !!! These guys get 5/5 in my book !!

Car got hit while parked over night. Claimed to have no surveillance and did nothing to help me. Now I’m stuck paying to get my car fixed.

Extremely rude attendant's when your having an issue they would rather talk on personal cell than help you out...when you do get their attention they act like your bothering them and talk to you with disrespect...happened on more than 1 occasion

I reserved parking for $12 and pre paid ahead of time . I arrived a little early but left early and they charged me $28 for arriving 20mins early. Then when i asked the garage attendant for help she gave me attitude . I am not from Chicago and dont know the area that well so I had arrived earlier then expected but figured i shouldn't have a problem if i left 30mins earlier then my reserved time.

Parking is good. But just had a baby and ended up staying for 48 hrs and feel like parents should have better rates.

Parking in Chicago

It is often challenging to find a parking space in Chicago. Below is a list of the most important things that you need to know when looking for a spot in Chicago.

There are 3 main on-street zones in Chicago, their parking rates vary as follows:

  1. If you’re parking in the Loop (red zone), be ready to pay $6.50 per hour from 8am to 9 pm. These rates half during the night to $6.50 for 2 hours from 9pm to 8am.
  2. For parking in the Central Business District (yellow zone) – expect to pay $4.00 per hour between 8am and 10pm. Parking is free outside of these hours.
  3. Parking in Outer Chicago (green zone) costs $2.00 per hour and is free from 10pm to 8am.

All Chicago parking meters accept credit and debit cards alongside coins. Another convenient method of paying for on-street parking is to use the ParkChicago app – this app will also allow you to extend your time remotely, meaning that you no longer need to run back and forth to the meter to feed it.

Public lots and garages charge $12.00 per hour and $30 per day. The average monthly rate is $225.00.

As with any major city, parking in Chicago follows the rule of “the further from downtown, the cheaper it gets.” Check out these pages to know exactly what to expect when parking near the most popular attractions in Chicago: Millenium Park, Navy Pier, Art Institute or search for your desired location using the search bar.

In addition, visit the City of Chicago parking page for any questions you might have concerning paying for parking tickets.
