Negative stars if I could but they make you select at least 1 to write this review. There are no words to describe this injustice. The deception of “please pay” yet there’s nowhere to pay and you’re freely allowed to enter because there’s no gate. I’ve parked here at least 5 other times (2022) with absolutely no problems and no tickets. Why now?(2023).Why hasn’t anyone done a class action suit against these criminals yet? Why doesn’t the theatre train their child employees how to let the customers know about this problem? It will be no surprise to me when this theatre finally shuts down.

I got a Ticket

I went to the regal theater located at 2600 N Western Ave on August 6, 2023 I was told from someone that works in the theater that I didn’t need to pay to park , a few weeks later I got a ticket in the mail stating I need to pay $160 I was piss as hell and now I received a Collection Notice that need to $240 or that my vehicle will be subject to immediate impoundment with no further notice , this is nothing but a scam and I will get to the bottom of this.

Same story as everyone here. Received a notice for $240, after two months since I parked!! Never received a first notice

File a dispute if you received a ticket - they will reduce it to $5. Pay it and never park at an ABM lot again. You can also call 312.286.2087 just to bother this man - he's rude and unhelpful. I hope he's trapped in a hellscape of phone calls for the rest of his life.

Horrible I went to the theater in July 2023, the gate parking was open, no ticket was given. I received one notice from abm that say " the below parking violation fees remain unpaid ..." I never received anything before that and they ask $160 and have my information . This is not correct.

Like many people on here i have the same problem i actually asked if i had to pay the parking and in the theater they said no now i contacted abm and the man that answered was so rude and no help at all. He said that their was nobody else that was able to help me and all i can do was file a dispute. Was anybody else able to get their problem fixed?

Was unsure of how the process worked. Asked an employee at the theater, they told me not to worry about it. Next day I got my $80 ticket via text. CBS has a story about how no one is quite sure how they get peoples information from their plates. Just not going to go to this theater anymore.

Same experience as everyone else here. Very deceptive arrangement they have here. Given the novelty of the payment process for this garage, they should make it abundantly clear prior to entering how payment is collected. I tried to pay via the app but kept getting an error message. There was no obvious recourse to address the problem or anyone at the garage to help. Now I get an $80 bill. I will definitely join the class action that will inevitably be filed if they keep this up.

Originally was charged $160. The following visit to the movies I was charged $80. For the $80 fee I disputed and showed evidence of payment, this resulted in a “reduced fine”, even though I have proof and confirmation of payment and parking legally in the facility.

Same thing when I entered the garage the gates were up and no ticket dispenser available telling you the or place to accept money. Removing the gates from the parking seems like a scam. Especially after attending the theater and parking garage for so many years in the past.

Total scam. This is a huge garage with nobody going to the movies anymore parking should be a couple of bucks for movie patrons.

This is horrible! there is NO SIGN (AMC THEATER) that you have to pay for the parking, the gate was open and this is my first time to get a Ticket from this company, I watched most of the time but I didn't Receive any mail! When I entered the movie theater garage the gates were up and there is no signage indicating the lot is a paid. Neither a tickets was given to keep track of time or place to accept money. Is not until you leave the movies that you see a sign about parking. By this time, it was too late since we had already been at the movie. Removing the gates from the parking is a scam. They want people not to pay for parking so that they can harass them and charge them $80. There are many people complaining about the same thing. I hope that they are hold accountable for their very dishonest business. At this point, Im not sure what my rights are as this has never happened to me. I feel forced to pay for something that I know is a scam so that my credit is not affected. These people are taking advantage of honest consumers and getting away with it. I have disputed the charge on the website. Depending on how this goes, I might be pursuing ABM for predatory business practices.

I just called and a very rude person answered, I explained to him that there is no form of payment when you enter, much less when you leave, how can you pay 80 dls in 2 hours that is a robbery, it is a scam and an ABM robbery. They are thieves. I would like to take them to court because it is not fair. And what annoys me the most is that they text you and send you photos as if you were a criminal..

it's a scam. they have no gate to see how many they can get. I recommend AMC theaters.

Same as others have mentioned, this lot has been free for years, I scanned the QR code in the garage but the page wouldn’t load so I assumed it was still free, now I have a text message with a $80 fine. How did they even get my number? Will be following up, this is a total scam.

Parking gate was up, no tickets from the dispenser, and no obvious signage of the change if you're not actively looking for it. If a policy changes after years of being free, they need to be extremely clear and obvious about that, because so many of us were not aware of the change. Then you get an $80 fine for something you didn't know about. Called customer service and the guy was extremely rude the moment he answered the phone and refused to explain or help with anything. Contact the BBB.

C I responded earlier, part 2 - Call ABM 866.624.1520, leave a message (don't expect a callback) with your name, license plate and Notice # (starts with 10000...) from the letter, that's it.

I had same challenge - the $80 is a "Parking Violation" not extra hours. Now there are signs all over the place. AMB bought the parking lot... Regal has nothing to do with it anymore, tho the theater manager was very helpful. $8.70 is also alot of money & for 2 hrs, most films are more than that these days. Macine are in the lobby but by then, you are "committed." Webster was charging $6. Alot of things to consider - I don't believe prices are even posted tho I may be wrong. The gate is very deceptive. Both of them up definitely implies "free" tho we haven't been there in a month. This has to hurt Regal, already busy closing theaters around the state.. Choose wisely.

Call the number, apparently they are giving out waivers now. Says that there were signs but since everyone is complaining they have to backtrack. Keep at it and DONT pay the $80 fine

Unbelievable! Went to a movie on Sunday, no gates closed, open parking lot. Now I get a text that I owe $80 for parking?!

Similar experience as these people. My ex-wife got a text even though her phone is not tied to my license plate. Time stamps clearly show I was only there for 2+ hours amd they are attempting to charge me $80. No signs excpet one that says ‘No Free Parking.’ ehich I just noticed today after receiving the notice. I wiuld be haply to pay the hourly, bit $80 when I clearly was only there for a few hours?!? Then came home to another letter from Mar 6th saying the same thing. Parking has been free here since mid-pandemic. No warning from theater staff or signs on doors. Is everyone ignoring these? I like the idea of filing a complaint with the States Attorney or Better Business Bureau.

Same as everyone below, I have gone to this theater for years and parked with no fees for quite some time. Whoever owns the parking garage must've gotten a new deal with this ABM company. Charging for using a parking garage is fair enough, but the gates are still always up which is incredibly misleading; it's hard not to think it wasn't intentional in an effort to send out higher value violation tickets. Really shady stuff going on here.

Went to a movie like I do at other movie theaters. I have never had to pay parking to see a movie. There were no tickets dispensers so I did think that I had to pay for parking. Now I get a bill for $80. This is definitely a scam. They can send me to collections but I’m not falling for this scam.

I drove back by on 25 March and they have now finally taken down the old gated ticket dispensers and put up signs from ABM. Hopefully no one else will be scammed. Oh, and the price of less than 5 hours of parking is $4, so how they are getting $80 is beyond me. I tried going on the ABM website to file a dispute, but it could not find my "violation", so I sent an email.

Just as others have said here, parking is a scam here. Gone and parked here plenty of times and have had no issue. Now they're billing you $80 as a violation when there's no clear update to the policy, no ticket, and instructions?? Not paying and disputed. Anyone get any updates from their dispute or get a hold of them?

Just got my $80 “violation” in the mail. Garage entrance and exit gates were up and no ticket given. Just like every time I’ve gone there for years. Signs about taking a ticket and $2 parking but impossible to take a ticket if the machine won’t give you one. I definitely didn’t see any signs about $12 or how to pay without a ticket. No employees telling us about a new parking policy when checking our tickets. Literally saw a movie 13 days earlier without a violation. Pretty major policy change. “Violation notice” says $80 is the reduced fine but doesn’t say how much it is if I don’t pay in 30 days. Just that they’ll send it to collections. Such a scam. I’m emailing channel 7 and the state attorney general on this one. And I recommend everyone else who got one of these “violations” do the same.

The signs are unclear all of them specify monthly payments and they have no signage on the doors or inside so they can fine you $80 or more. Do not support this shady and deceptive place.

No tickets were given to keep track of time and no place to accept money but they billed me $80 which included a $5 convenience fee for a "No Payment" violation.

You can't park here unless you have a smartphone. There is nowhere to pay cash or with a physical credit card. Also the instructions aren't clear if you have to pay before or after parking.
