My wife and I went to cheesecake factory and there was a wait to be seated, so we have to wait. It took another 45 minutes to get our food by that time it was already one hour and 30 minutes. We talked for a bit before, we headed to the car and by the time we got at the machine to insert the validate ticket it said that we went over 20 minutes and that we have to pay 14 dollars. What a total scam is this place. Imma try to call the company to get some answers.

Had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, there was a bit a of a wait, stopped by the Starbucks at Barnes & Noble, got validation but because I went over the 2 hours validation period (that is not posted anywhere) by 6 min. I was charged the full validation rate from the moment I arrived to the parking lot. What a rip off. I won't be visiting this location for a while.

This parking lot literally scams you of your $. Was charged $15 for 2 1/2 hrs. With validated parking from Fridas. When exiting the lot I was charged an additional $5 in total $20 with a validated parking ticket. I tried to contact management with no luck. Park here only if you want to give away your $

I took my baby to take picture with bunny and not even 30 min and they charged me $5 which i shouldn't even be charged. I was told we get hour free. Unreal!

I will add on to these 1-star reviews. The parking office acts independent of the management at Americana. Therefore, all policies regarding validation are a gamble. Went to a movie and very expensive dinner at Bourbon Steak, was told that validations were stackable at the restaurant, so I was unable to validate at the theater. I was charged $11 for parking. Talk about adding insult to injury.

Validations are not valid the 2nd you go over the validation time you owe for all the back time. Super rude people and all the signage is wrong.

I usually charge my Tesla between 2 and 3 a.m. - and the fee is almost always $2 (which is ridiculous enough, since I'm there to pay for Tesla's service in the first place). And I'm always done within one hour. I was there around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning -- spent about 45 minutes charging my car -- and when I submitted my charge ticket, the screen told me I owed $5.00. I had no choice but to pay the $5 (the last five dollars I'll ever spend there as I'll NEVER return to this rip-off mall) if I wanted to get out of there. I tried to contact someone at the garage, but no one has ever gotten back to me. To tell you the truth, this incident has done me a favor. It made me look into alternate charging stations and found one that doesn't charge a mall fee to access and only 12 minutes from my home. Do not allow yourself to be ripped off by this predatory mall. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else!

Still reeling in shock at paying $14 for self-parking, even after restaurant validation. I’ve paid less for valet elsewhere. Absolutely atrocious for a place where people come to spend their time and money.

Poor customer service. I was there less than an hr and they changed me $5. Rates are $2 for less than an hr. When I tried to talk to someone they would not help me, I asked for the manager and the lady said the manager wasn’t around. They would not let me leave. Or clarify the situation. Very bad service.

I paid $10 to park with theater validation for 2 hrs 45 min. If the theater only validates for 2 hours, now that they changed from Pacific to AMC, then the parking charge was because I went over 2 hours.I think the theater might only validate for 2 hours now. So the parking was over 2 hours, I'm trying to confirm the validation policy & how to tell that the ticket was validated, because they have scanners now. AMC doesn't answer the phone. 818-551-0560.

I would give negative star!! The 4-hour validation from the theater means nothing if you spend time shopping or dining after a movie! By the way, they have increased the parking rate and my daughter ended up paying $21 for parking!!! Total rip off!

The parking lot is not toddler/ baby friendly for parents. I paid the $7.00 ticket at the machine, but at checkout I owed $2.00 more because it took me more than the allotted 10 minutes to get my twin 18-month old granddaughters out of their stroller, pack the complicated stroller into the trunk of my car, strap the twins into their car seats safely and go! Please, please take that allotted time to 20 minutes. It will not be abused —it is simply NEEDED and I like going to the Americana Mall! This was very frustrating!

I was charged $2. for staying 18 minutes on a Friday evening. That is less than an hour. I thought parking is free the first hour? I was picking up food to go. That is ridiculous.

Went to the kiosk to pay for my parking time. The dollar amount was slightly higher than I anticipated. At first, I thought that it must be a flat rate. Upon further review, I noted that there there was hourly pricing. The amount I was asked to pay was incorrect. So I cancelled the transaction thinking that it was the machine that had the issue. When I pulled my ticket back, I noted that the time 9:39 was stamped as my entrance time. Hmmm - I got out of the shower around 9:39 & didn't leave my house until approximately 10:15. I likely arrived at the Americana around 10:30. Why was my ticket stamped 9:39? Seems fraudulent to me! Parker beware!

Parked for 24 minutes, got charged $18. Cute, right? Shame on you!

I was charged $9.00 even though I had four hour validation from Pacific Theaters. There was no attendant and I had a line-up of cars behind me, so I wasn’t able to dispute the fee. I was there less than 3 hours, parking should have been free.

The people that work in this parking lot are very rude. They need to act more friendly here.

We parked for exactly 2 hrs. 37 min. for dinner at Frida and to walk around a bit after. Frida took our parking ticket and said they validated....according to ticket there was $1 discount and we had to pay $8. I will never park in this structure again. What a rip-off!

We regularly visit Downtown Glendale. Lots of shops and eateries. We used to park at the Americana parking lot but now that is busier and filled with more traffic, it has become more dangerous than ever. We now give our money to other places and park at their facilities. For one thing, the Americana parking lot is a spiral with no speed bumps in place yet people drive dangerously over the speed limit. There are also no stop or yield signs at different entry and exit points where you are forced to merge with present traffic. I have witnessed so many near misses as well as a few accidents. I feel bad for people with kids, people with disabilities, and people with elderly family/ friends who have physical needs that force them to move slower. My family and friends have also almost been in accidents in this car park. Please install some speed bumps and put into place yield/ stop signage that are clear and big BEFORE you lose more business, before more accidents happen and before people start suing the Americana.

Your "free 4 hour validation" is a joke!! First time I've parked here because of our disabled daughter and no signs where disabled spots are (we were hoping on ALL floors beside Elevator but no)!! After what I thought was perfect timing of parking by noon and watching a 1pm movie, we were okay with that validation from the theater. NOPE! I went to the pay machine and noticed my ticket didn't look like it has a "stamp" for the so-called theater validation and when I called them they gave the excuse "Once you're over the four hours it will charge you the max rate."

Parking rate information is VERY MISLEADING on the pay stations. If you going to charge, make it EASY TO READ. It leaves a very sour taste for the whole experience. I won't be back.

Stayed for 4.5 hours and paid $12 with 4 hours validation from movie theater. They should not cancel the validation and should only charge for the extra overtime parking.

Read the fine print. Theatre willValidate for four hours but if you go even one minute over four hours, you will be charged $10 for 15 minutes. So if you have dinner and a movie and stay longer than four hours, you will be punished for staying longer To enjoy their shopping Total scam Get out quick

The parking is a scam. If you have a 2 hour validation they charge you $6 if you go 1 minute over.

People have been breaking in an stealing items from cars here at the Americana, and when you ask for assistance they refuse to review footage of their cameras. STAY AWAY FROM HERE
