Parking in Arlington

With more than 5,300 on-street parking spaces and over 100,000 off-street spaces it looks like the City of Arlington did a good job when planning the city’s parking infrastructure.

Parking at off-street lots and garages is affordable: $5.00 per hour and $25 per 24 hours. If you want to save on parking, make sure to enter some lots before 9 am to take advantage of the early bird rates. Monthly parking passes can be purchased starting at $90 up to $160, depending on the location.

On-street parking is enforced in most areas Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 6 pm. Meters in short term areas charge $1.25 per hour, whilst those in long term areas charge only $1.00 per hour. Parking meters are color-coded based on the maximum time allowed for the stay:

• Yellow – 30 minutes
• Silver – 1 hour
• Blue – 2 hours
• Red – 4 hours
• Green – 10 hours

Most new meters accept payments by coins, bills and credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover). You can also pay using the Parkmobile app.
