Absolutely do not park here. They begin charging you for parking the moment your car is on the sidewalk in front of the lot (camera monitored), NOT the time the ticket says parking starts, and they don't consider you vacating the parking until you're 100% off the lot, and I mean each and every tire, bumper, body panel must be on the street. This is in contrast to entering the lot, where just being pointed at the lot means you've entered apparently, because the photo shows my car still on the sidewalk, public property, when they started billing. Finding how to pay for parking is on a sign requiring a smartphone and a back-and-forth text message (for no reason) to get to a website to pay for parking. Because of their shady tactics and the hospital shutting down the main elevators at night for whatever reason, I overran my parking by 5 minutes and they've sent me a bill for $87.

The card reader was not working in extreme cold we tried to pay unsuccessfully but recieved two 80$ . Parking notices, we new nothing about parking apps since the last time I parked in mpls lots still had attendants, oh well live and learn. No one seems to have an answer as to how you can pay all they will say is you can get a voucher at the doctor or Clinic so do some homework before you venture into downtown Minneapolis. The air ambulance service covered parking for that trip, but I don't think that was cheap either...

Find somewhere else to park for HCMC. Glass on the tarmac, huge potholes that although there was an attempt to fill these in, are already sinking in and, there is a pay machine that is not user friendly. Xero stars.

Parking in Minneapolis

Minneapolis is a global economical hub and one of the largest cities in the area. Here are some useful tips to help you find the best parking location.

In Minneapolis parking meters are abundant. There are around 7000 meters in total;  so parking in Downtown Minneapolis shouldn’t be a major problem. The city is divided into several on-street zones with varying rates and time limits. The maximum stay limit can vary from 2 to 10 hours. The rate for parking at meters can range from $0.25-$2.75/1 hour. Single-space meters accept coins and bills. There are more advanced singles-space meters that also accept credit cards (Mastercard, American Express, Visa).

Multi-space meters accept coins, bills and cards. When parking at one of these meters, introduce the number of the space you’ve parked at and take your receipt with you.

During events on-street rates can range from $1.50 to $4.00/1 hour.

Meters are not enforced during national holidays.

Off-street rates are around $4-$5/1 hour and $18/24 hours. The average monthly parking price is in the range of $150.

You can click on a marker, e.g. the Convention Center (Central Lutheran Ramp) or the Gateway Ramp, and it will show you all the basic information on that location, such as price, opening hours, etc.

For any questions about ticket payment options, make sure to visit the city’s website.
