Parking in Portland

If you’re looking for parking in downtown Portland, bear in mind that the average rates are $4.00 per hour, $22.00 per 24 hours or $240.00 per month.

If you’re looking for cheap parking, try and park at one of the SmartPark garages in Portland, as they offer the lowest short-term rates in the city. Three of their garages also have EV chargers: 10th & Yamhill, 4th and Yamhill, 3rd and Alder.

There are four parking meter districts:

  • Downtown: $1.60/hour, enforced Mon-Sat 8am-7pm and Sun 1pm-7pm

(event meters next to Providence Park are in effect on Portland Timbers home game days: $3.50/hour beginning 90 min before the event).

  • Lloyd: $1/hour, enforced Mon-Sat 8am-6pm
  • Marquam Hill: $1.60/hour, enforced Mon-Fri 8am-6pm
  • Central Eastside: $1.20/hour, enforced Mon-Fri 8am-6pm.

Follow the color-coded lines on our maps to know exactly what rates apply to what street. Also, note that all meters have time limits for maximum allowed stay. SmartMeter paystations accept coins, debit and credit cards

Other useful parking maps that you might find useful are Portland International Airport, visitor parking at PSU, and Oregon Convention Center.

Parking tickets can be paid online through Multnomah County Circuit Court.
