You do not open the slot on the weekends all the time to allow people to park there the employees at Yale who get two free days of parking just have to continue to pay to go to work while they leave parking lot empty the reasoning is it's graduation or reunion or there's an event going on and we don't want people to park there in the parking lot-one more way Yale shows it doesn't care about its employees- unrelated the meters on the street don't work
