Let’s start by saying, no signage to identify where Colony Square parking entrance is. Though there is a (P) on a sign it does not state parking for Colony Square. I had to ask a resident/confirm the entrance to CS. Ok, great. Secondly, what they are charging to park their is extremely excessive. Please have your ticket validated. I was not aware and inserted my ticket into parking machine by the escalator for two hours was $21. Thank God for this gentleman that walked by as they were leaving (in a nick of time) and told us to go to Mall reception desk to have ticket validated. I scooted back into the restaurant that I just left and asked if they validate and they did. Thirdly, trying to get out of that garage is crazy. In most garages the Exit sign is above in red, theirs is on the pillars in lime green. Where you do that at. And lastly, I still had to pay $3. Yes, it was not $21, however, never again. Do your research.

Extremely strange garage. Location is great but they have no signage. Not rates, not hours, not exits. We wandered around with random people looking for the way out after parking.all wondering about rates. Calling the number posted goes to an answering machine. Amusing in a way.

Do Not Park Here. There are no security cameras on the premises to monitor break-ins or crime inside the garage. On 9/6/2020 my car was broken into while parked inside the Colony Square garage while I stayed at The W midtown hotel. The security staff Terry although a little too late on the scene was helpful but once he referred me to management it was a different tone. Dominique was at first concerned but once I asked about checking with security for camera footage she changed her demeanor and tone. No one was empathetic from Dominique to Zack the OM who said it was out of their hands. I asked How so when the security property has the means and decision making power to Install more cameras to monitor the premises. Im sure my car won’t be the last to get broken into but I plan to escalate this issue so that some type of light can be shown onto this unsafe, unmonitored garage. Imagine what other incidents have or could take place given the fact people know they can get away with crimes inside this garage.

Parking in Atlanta

Parking is a constant concern for the fast-growing city of Atlanta. Here’s all you need to know before you go looking for a parking spot in Atlanta.

There are over 2,500 on-street spaces in Atlanta. Most of them charge $2.00 per hour. Single space meters accept quarters, dimes and nickels. New multi-space meters accept coins, bills and cards (Visa, MasterCard). On-street parking can be limited to 30 minutes, 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours. The hours of enforcement vary  based on zones:

  • Business and Government zone: Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm, 2 hrs max.
  • Mixed use zone: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, 3 hrs max.
  • School and University zone: Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 7 pm, 3 hrs max.
  • Entertainment, Restaurant and Hospital zones: Monday through Saturday, 7 am to 10 pm, 4 hrs max.

Off-street parking is abundant; an hour costs $5.00 on average, and $14.00 for 24 hours.

Parking might be pricier around event locations, such as the Philips Arena and around Centennial Park. If you’re flying into or out of Atlanta, check out our maps for parking at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

If you’ve been issued a parking ticket, you can pay the ticket online or find out how to appeal it.
