DO NOT PARK HERE!!!! Prices went up it is now 3$/15minutes. Took the pamphlet ABOVE THE MACHINE and saw all the shops who validate so thought okay sure i will park here and just get validated and then the first hour is only 3$ saving 9$, FALSE. almost none of the shops listed validate, went to: subway, candy store (forgot name), starbucks. Walked entirely around the building after being told in the sunglass store I had to spend 25$ to get the validation and by the pretzel store that i had to spend 20$. So I walked around waited in lines in these stores just to be told that they do not validate. then i went to the attendant at the exit and he told me to go to Subway, spend 7$ and bring the receipt and he would acknowledge the validation. Walk back over to subway end up spending 9$ because I had to buy a sandwich and back to my car. at this point it is 2 hours of trying to get the stupid fucking validation. Go to the exit the attendant gives me 7$ off. WHAT. Why would i go to subway to spend 7$ to get 7$ off of

Parking in North Beach (San Francisco)

As is the case with the rest of San Francisco, parking in North Beach can be a nightmare!

The majority of residential streets in North Beach are 2 hour parking 8am - 9pm (except  Sundays and residents). The 2 hour limit that extends all the way to 9pm combined with the shortage of space on streets makes free parking in North Beach a challenge, especially for non-residents. Be sure to check the parking meter for days and times as some meters do require payment on Sundays.

There are a number of commercial parking garages serving North Beach. Garages along The Embarcadero serve a lot of tourist areas such as Pier 39 and Fishermans Wharf and can be quite expensive, especially without validation.
