Horrible horrible horrible. We had a bestparking.com coupon for $28 and upon our return we were charged not only $51 for the 2 hours but they added $15 additional dollars Making our bill $66 claiming our car was a super size car. It’s a 2010 Subaru outback, the small addition. The man was rude and unrelenting. Never ever go there!

This place is a complete scam! We found it through bestparking.com. It was supposed to be $28. When we returned not only were we charged $51 for two hours but we were additionally charged $15 extra dollars for being “oversized”. Ours is a small 2010 Subaru outback. It is well within the range of midsize cars not super size. I have never been charged like this before and I park all over the city for years. Never had this problem. They are complete thieves and nasty to boot. Avoid avoid avoid!

99 Charles street, ny. If I could leave zero stars I would. The parking attendant threatened to lock our car out because we booked our car through park whiz and he did not want to wait until 10pm for us to come pick our car up. We came at 9:00pm because he was so rude and we were worried and when we arrived he again threaten that he almost locked us out and next time we come he will deny us. He slammed my car door and was just soo soo nasty. I’m outraged at his behavior. Do not leave your car here!!!

Parking in New York

New York is one of the busiest and most densely populated cities in the US. Parking rates in NYC are one of the highest in the country. Here are some ideas on how to survive when looking for a place to park in New York.

Commercial garages in Manhattan charge $12-$18 per hour and can go up as high as $55 per 24 hours (SUVs and oversized vehicles are charged additional fees). It’s a good idea to look for early bird and overnight specials or coupons for discounted parking!

A good alternative is to park in the suburbs and then take public transport to downtown:

On-street parking

On-street parking in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island is $1 per hour, while on-street meters in Manhattan charge from $1.50 to $6 per hour, depending on the area. Meters take quarters and credit cards.

On-street rates in PARK-Smart areas will vary depending on the time of day and demand.

On-street signage can be confusing. Check the NYC parking regulations, so that you don’t get a pricey ticket.
