My ticket wouldn’t scan. I pressed the help button. Message says no one on duty (it’s 11:30 PM) Ticket still won’t scan. I press help button again. Same answer. No one on duty. I decide I can get past the gate, I’ve been trying to get out for 20 minutes. I squeeze my car past the parking arm and their defence system gives me a flat. $175 of damage to my car because I was trying very hard to pay them $15. Don’t ever park here.

We parked here for a Rockies game and instead of prepaying when we arrived, we had to wait forever for every car to pay on the way out. Convenient parking until you have to leave, then you're stuck for over an hour. Ridiculous. Unless you can prepay, dont park here.

Sakura Square on Larimar has good pricing (unless its a Rockies, Avalanche or Broncos game, of course) however, every time I've used it, I've received a parking ticket, when I payed for parking and didn't go over my time limit. Or my card got charged twice when I only swiped it into the machine once. They never answer their phone if you have issues, and the garage is blocks away from all the happenings downtown. Only go if you're prepared for the hassle!

Parking in Denver

There is plenty of parking in Denver and you should use our Denver parking map to find out where and how how much you’ll be expected to pay for parking in the city.

The average hourly rate at parking lots and garages in Denver is $4.00 per hour and $24.00 per day.

On-street parking tends to be cheaper at $2.00 per hour with a maximum stay of up to 2-4 hrs. Rates and maximum stay restrictions may differ, please check the meter at your final destination.

Smart meters, which are gradually being installed on Denver streets, accept coins, debit and credit cards, and smart cards.

Denver has a special Overnight Parking Program that is different from other US cities. Parking rates are still enforced during nighttime, though they are lower and there are no limits as to the length of stay.

If you’re looking for cheaper or even free parking options and feel OK with not taking your car downtown, leave it at one of the Park and Ride locations in Denver and park for free the first 24 hours and then $2.00 for each additional day.

Did you know that the clamp wheel was first used in Denver?  This is why it is also called “Denver boot”! Follow the parking regulations and pay parking tickets on time so that you don’t get booted!
