I was scammed at this lot by a woman who gave me her all-day pass. I didn't know it wasn't legal -- a disclaimer is on the back of the ticket but who looks at that, and how is this different from pulling into a parallel parking space that still has minutes on the meter? I came back to find a $51 Parking ticket under my windshield, time-stamped from almost the minute I pulled into "her" slot. I think they hire people to buy a $11 to give away so they can scam people into paying $51 -- a $40 profit.

There is plenty of parking in Denver and you should use our Denver parking map to find out where and how how much you’ll be expected to pay for parking in the city.

The average hourly rate at parking lots and garages in Denver is $4.00 per hour and $24.00 per day.

On-street parking tends to be cheaper at $2.00 per hour with a maximum stay of up to 2-4 hrs. Rates and maximum stay restrictions may differ, please check the meter at your final destination.

Smart meters, which are gradually being installed on Denver streets, accept coins, debit and credit cards, and smart cards.

Denver has a special Overnight Parking Program that is different from other US cities. Parking rates are still enforced during nighttime, though they are lower and there are no limits as to the length of stay.

If you’re looking for cheaper or even free parking options and feel OK with not taking your car downtown, leave it at one of the Park and Ride locations in Denver and park for free the first 24 hours and then $2.00 for each additional day.
