Finally this ramp accepts credit cards! They have a pay kiosk that takes cash and credit cards or you can pay credit cards at the exit. I travel A LOT for work and most cities have automated parking garages so it was nice to see St. Paul is catching up to the rest of the planet.

I never thought one could have such a strong opinion about a parking garage. My husband and I parked here out of desperation. We thought the $10 flat fee was overpriced, but we were attending a free event (northern spark). I didn't notice the tiny, TINY sign saying "cash and checks only" at the entrance until after we were coming back late. At first we were skeptical... could a parking garage actually deny accept debt/credit cards? Turns out they can and they did, so my husband had to go find an ATM. One would think that if they weren't going to allow cards they could at least put an ATM in lobby. Once he finally got cash, we went to the ticket booth where there was no attendant. He put a $20 bill in the machine and got $10 back in quarters!!! They may have given me back 40 quarters but they can keep my 2 cents!

Really bad experience with parking attendant, very angry, yelled at me as I was paying, wouldn't listen when I tried to explain. I hope she gets some customer service training soon... and a way to pay by credit card!

I am a contract parker, lots of construction going on, I have to leave home extra early since many and I mean many, spots are blocked off so difficult to find a spot. If that is not bad enough when I was leaving tonight my car was blocked by vehicels that the attendants parked there. I pay for contract parking to make my life easier and this is what I pay for? Oh I will not even go into the elevator situation! My advice is to avoid this ramp!

Not really enough parking for the public during the week. Parking ramp was originally built to accomodate 4 levels of offices and 3 levels of retail. However, the balance of the center changed towards office space and with that came over demand of parking between office workers and condo/apartment dwellers. You often will have to drive in circles to find a space during the day. Better off parking elsewhere unless your business is in Galtier Plaza.

Parking in Saint Paul

Parking in Saint Paul can be difficult sometimes; that’s why we strive to provide very concise but important parking information.

Parking meters in the City of Saint Paul are enforced Monday through Saturday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. Rates vary from $0.50 an hour to $2.00 an hour. Parking rates are best illustrated by the colored lines on the St Paul parking map on our website – click on them to see rates and maximum time allowed for stay, as these differ greatly from one region to another.  Meters can be fed with coins and preloaded parking cards. Cash, Credit cards, and mobile payments are accepted at any Pay Station.

Vehicles with disability parking license plates or certificates may park at meters free of charge for up to four hours (except at yellow 30 minute meters).

The average rates for off-street parking are $4.00 for one hour, $15 for 24 hours and $115 per month. Naturally, parking for longer periods during the days will be cheaper in a lot or garage, than on-street.

If you wish to save even more, join Car2Go and you’ll get some additional parking benefits for vehicles displaying Car Sharing Permits from the City of Saint Paul.
